Scope:

Complete gut and renovation of a classic 1915 Bedford-Stuyvesant Brownstone with Neo-Greco and Second Empire influences.

Construction Highlights:

• Historical brownstone façade with clean lined details
• Floor to ceiling windows on parlor level overlooking deck & rear yard
• 8’-0’ high solid double panel doors used throughout
• Sound deadening / thermal / fire rated insulation used for all walls-ceilings
• Led – low voltage lighting used where applicable
• All rooms, rear yard and deck pre-wired for sound

Scope:

Relocated and constructed a concrete plant for Long Island City–based concrete mixing company, DKN Ready Mix.

Project Highlights:

• Installed deep caisson piles for the new concrete plant
• Prepared a reinforced foundation system to withstand heavy industrial use from trucks and plant operations
• Constructed buildings and office spaces for plant operations
• Relocated the main concrete silo from the prior location and installed it at the new property

Scope:

Cristom provided pre-construction and construction services for school improvements that needed to be completed on a tight schedule in time for the school year.

Project Highlights:

• Services included interior and exterior improvements, installing an air conditioning system to the building, and fire and life safety components.
• Specific areas improved include classrooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and an outdoor playground.
• Despite limited schedule flexibility, we were able to adapt to design changes and increasing scope after the initial start of the project, and still complete the entire project on time.

Scope:

Full gut and renovation of administrative headquarters for a major produce distributor located in the bustling Hunt’s Point Produce Terminal.

Project Highlights:

• Job was done in two phases
• Rough and tumble environment/market, with lots of different uses and extremes (upstairs offices, downstairs cooler boxes)
• Worked around customers parameters
• Overcame a challenging environment to complete work on time with office still being functional
• Interior work consisting of office space, multiple conference rooms, multiple bathrooms and kitchens, hallways, reception and waiting areas.

Scope:

Constructed a 17,000 sq. ft. shopping center with parking lot consisting of 47 parking spaces. The shopping center contains both retail and warehouse space with high ceilings.

Highlights:

• De-mapping of street before construction could begin
• Standard foundation system for most of the project
• Rear of the shopping center had to be constructed on piles due to soil conditions
• Installed pylon sign with mall directory.
• Shopping mall was finished with upscale look and furnishings appropriate to the surrounding community.
• Cristom also provided 8000 sq. ft. of tenant build outs.

Built from the ground up, Arista 35 is a five-story, 22-unit luxury condominium building located in vibrant Astoria, NY. It exemplifies the commitment to quality found in every Cristom project.

Project Highlights:

• Exterior features a dramatic brick and stone façade
• Spacious common rooftop with expansive views
• Modern luxury lobby with high-end finishes and virtual doorman
• Kitchens include stainless steel appliances, solid wood cabinetry, granite countertops, and tile backsplashes

Scope:

Built from the ground up luxury condominium development located in thriving East Williamsburg, NY.

Project Highlights:

• Building utilizes a pile system and a standard foundation wall system
• Well insulated with all interior walls featuring sound deadening and thermal fiber insulation
• Low voltage throughout building for virtual doorman key-farb access, CCTV, alarm wiring and cable/tv wiring
• Custom mill work, made locally and installed by capable craftsmen

Scope:

Concrete work requires specialized expertise, especially when supporting a structure as prominent as a pylon sign visible to thousands of vehicles daily along the LIE. This project demanded precision and durability to ensure long-term performance.

Project Highlights:

• Provided 800 yards of concrete for pylon sign construction
• Managed the footing and foundation system installation for a digital flat-screen pylon sign
• Coordinated a continuous monolithic pour, requiring over 80 concrete trucks delivered within a 6-hour timeframe

Scope:

Installed and replaced a leaching piping system for a waste-to-energy facility in Long Island, NY.

Project Highlights:

• Installed 1,000 ft of leaching and dual containment piping from storage tanks to the incinerator
• Constructed a masonry building housing the tank and pump system to dispense leachate to the incinerator
• Performed stainless steel welding for all piping, including HDPE systems

Scope:

Cristom completed site work for the Shops at Atlas Park under an aggressive timeline—preparing 60,000 square feet in just three weeks to accommodate a carnival and ensure the tenant could move in on schedule.

Project Highlights:

• Completed a 60,000 sq. ft. full parking lot renovation
• Installed site drainage systems, including on-site dry wells
• Performed all excavation and grading work
• Paved, striped, and installed lighting throughout the parking lot

This full gut renovation of a 1920 building required comprehensive structural and mechanical upgrades to bring the property up to modern standards.

Project Highlights:

• Completed full structural renovations and upgrades
• Upgraded all mechanical systems
• Modernized elevator system
• Installed upgraded sprinkler system
• Performed full utility service upgrade, including fiber optic and new phone lines
• Constructed a new building façade
• Made the building ADA-compliant, including a handicap-accessible entrance ramp
• Replaced staircase with new access to the roof

8,000 sq ft warehouse and office extension with extensive site work and poured concrete retaining wall system.

• Re-purposed deteriorating warehouse into a functioning office space with warehouse, storage and mechanical stations for customers specific work types
• Provided custom tile flooring to represent streetscape
• Provided site work package that included covered parking, bin boxes and custom retaining wall with in-laid panels

Project Highlights:

• Replaced existing roof and supporting substructure
• Removed all existing partitions and equipment from prior build-outs
• Developed functional office, storage, and open warehouse space

• Consolidated previously separated office spaces into one central, efficient workspace to improve operations
• Added 13 loading bays and expanded the warehouse footprint to improve traffic flow for loading and unloading

Modified doorways and access points to accommodate oversized equipment and constructed a stainless steel storefront enclosure system for the new Dasani water line within the production area.

Project Highlights:

• Installed structural needle supports to create large-span openings in 10 locations, allowing equipment installation before restoring walls
• Constructed a stainless steel curtain wall enclosure system to isolate the new Dasani production line
• Installed new drainage and flooring systems for the processing area within the Coca-Cola facility
